Stephanos VTC student scoops a prize at a Skills Competition!

The winner, Olivia Lodzani, poses with the college Principal, Mrs. Nyirenda.

It was all joy when the name ‘Stephanos Vocational Training Centre’ was mentioned among the winning colleges at this year’s 2025 world Skills Africa, southern region chapter. The institution was represented by a young lady, Olivia Lodzani, who contested in Tailoring and Fashion Design, and scooped position three of ten.

When asked her secret, beaming with joy, Olivia attributed her success to discipline and hard work. She also thanked her instructors and the management for supporting her all the way.

The competition was organised by TEVETA, in collaboration with the TEVET colleges. It started at college level, zone level where Olivia came second, then regional level. The winning contestants will proceed to national level, slated for the year 2026.

Stephanos VTC is now calling for applications for its 2026 applications in Tailoring and Fashion Design, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, Edible Horticulture, and Hospitality and Tourism.
