Stephanos Foundation is a Reformed Christian, Non-Governmental Organisation, operating from Chilangoma, Chileka, in Blantyre. Takes care of orphans and vulnerable children. The initiative for the Foundation started in The Netherlands and was established in Malawi in 1994, to see orphan and vulnerable children and their guardians become self-reliant and spiritually mature, thereby contributing to the spiritual and social-economic development of their communities.. Therefore, The Foundation wishes to recruit for its various departments as follows.

The Position : Community Fieldworker

Reports to : Project Manager

Location : Lilongwe

Overall purpose

The Field worker will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the training program, including teaching, program development, administration and development. The Fieldworker will strengthen existing and create new community partnerships.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all community development programs
  • Participate in learning plans and educational opportunities
  • Assist in developing the curriculum for the training program, creating PowerPoints, translating material, documents, and other curriculum based material
  • Provide approved training program to the students of Talandira Harvest Centre
  • Coordinate youth work – Bible study programs, sports activity days, and farming training
  • Assist with building development, including any physical labour if needed
  • Assist with agriculture development on the land.
  • Data input for all the information pertaining to the programs
  • Collaborate and participate in developing a weekly Sunday School
  • Travel for professional development as needed
  • Travel for work may be needed


  • Diploma in either Agriculture, Forestry or Biblical Studies
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
  • A Reformed Christian
  • The position is open to females only
